For the second time, after a grueling preparation and interview process, a Kew firm of accountants have won a prestigious national award in recognition of high standards in relation to its staff.
Press Release (PressBurner) Apr 15, 2010 - The award, which the company also won in 2006, covers almost every aspect of employee relations in key performance areas of business communications and skills. The report shows a high level of attainment on the return on investment in people within Ossman Consultants.
“Staff interaction, communication and teamwork are vital factors in company development,” commented Haleem Ossman, Chief Executive Officer at Ossman Consultants. “I am extremely proud to have won this award; we have been recognised for a second time for our high standards.”
To satisfy the judges, top managers need to explain how they have clear objectives with supporting strategies and that staff have full communication on expected levels of achievement.
Purpose, vision, social responsibility and core values are measured when judging for the award, as are learning and development and fair recruitment. Managers must be able to demonstrate leadership qualities and the role of constructive criticism within the company. In addition, reward, motivation and recognition are all important factors in the award criteria.
“I believe strongly in encouraging employees to take responsibility,” added Mr Ossman. “They must have access to information for decision making together with an effective, flexible, approach from management and a report on the company ‘investment in people’.”
