Award Winning Songwriter Kim McLean Presents Conway, AR Concert
A family friendly concert of great music from a great band at Peace Lutheran's Acoustic Cafe is open to all May 16th, 2009 at 7pm
Press Release (PressBurner) May 14, 2009 - Kim McLean, an award winning songwriter/artist with over 200 song credits to her name by artists like Tim McGraw, Lee Ann Womack, Trisha Yearwood, and more will return to Peace Lutheran Church’s family activity center in a concert this Saturday night, May 16th at 7pm.
Currently on the road promoting her new CD, Rapunzel’s Escape, she recently visited
with Tiffany Barr during her midday show at KCNY, 107.1 where you can request to hear her new radio single, “Ain’t No Glory”.
This is a return visit to Conway for McLean, with her first as part of Dan Clanton’s “Peace Acoustic Café in 2005. Her music is positive, fun, described as “Mountains-Meet-Memphis” with her band, featuring her 12-year old drummer, Will McJ, her son who has traveled with her professionally since he was 7.
Kim McLean’s music has been heard on NBC’s West Wing, CBS’ J*A*G, and ABC’s Hope & Faith among other TV shows. Her last CD, Happy Face, yielded a hit duet with Dolly Parton called “Angels and Eagles”.
Joining Kim McLean will be Chris Herin on acoustic bass, and Devon O’Day on harmony vocals. Devon O’Day will also be sharing a few stories from her book, “My Angels Wear Fur”, a collection of animal tales available through Thomas Nelson publishers. CDs and books will be available for signing after the concert.
