Press Release (PressBurner) Dec 08, 2010 - Kingston-upon-Thames, Surrey - IE Wallpaper and Fabric, the largest purveyor of quality soft furnishings
in South East England is expecting an unprecedented rise in pre-Christmas
orders
The anticipation of a world shortage of cotton and silk together with the
forthcoming 2.5% VAT rise in January appears to be the cause. Sandra Field,
the company's co-founder who has worked in interior design for many years
says this is the first time international floods and droughts have directly
impacted the availability of soft furnishing fabrics that make up the main
business.
“Our clients and customers work in the city and have early indications of
what’s to come and naturally treat their shopping like a trade on the
markets. This is the first time though that we’ve seen such a broad range
of global activities, such as floods in Pakistan directly affecting our
business”
She adds “Of course, there is also the approaching VAT increase in January
which will add another 2.5 % to everyone’s prices so our astute clients are
coming now and ordering before anything else happens.”
Sandra and Peter, her husband and MD are keen to hold a sponsored walk in 2011. “We simply couldn’t benefit from this without giving something back”.
Established in 1998, Interiors Europe Ltd owners of IE Wallpaper and Fabric Ltd is a quality contract interiors decorating company whose distinguished clientele
list include J P Morgan, IBM, L’Oreal, Mercedes Benz, Arcadia, Carlton
Television, and The Royal Opera House; the company’s success has been
largely due to its focus on providing exceptional customer service.
