Mayoral candidate Al Zucaro’s response to Palm Beach Post
Former city commissioner Al Zucaro’s response to PBP
Press Release (PressBurner) Apr 01, 2010 - The article published by the PBP about my legal dispute should have reflected accurately the context and circumstances involved.
This entire dispute is about a contested business deal between private parties which began in 2003 and has resulted in this now reported ongoing active litigation.
The litigation, currently in the District Court of Appeal, is far from over and a final result is yet to be determined.
With that said, I write to state the following for the reported record:
1) that World Trade Center Palm Beach is not a litigant in the legal action and, therefore, is not at issue;
2) that WTC Palm Beach has created an international business platform, the merits and programming of which are not in question;
3) that WTC Palm Beach’s contract with the county is current on deliverables and, in no way, questioned within this legal process; and,
4) that no public monies or public contracts are involved.
Viewed in the limited setting of private individuals litigating a private business matter, the public is better informed if the story is presented in a proper context, and the circumstances are portrayed in a clearer light divorced from personalities and politics.
All other reported matters of fact and law are properly within the District Court and await a further resolution.
