MBTV Productions Announces Screwballcity.com, a Social Networking and Sketch Comedy Site
New sketch comedy Web site uses social networking to produce comedic videos.
Press Release (PressBurner) Mar 03, 2009 - MBTV Productions today announces the release of Screwballcity.com, the first Web site to marry social networking sites like Facebook with sketch comedy. Screwballcity.com is part of the Viacom-owned Flux network.
"Site users can create profiles on Screwballcity.com and interact with the comedy team. Sketches are based upon those interactions," said Marian Bruno, Executive Producer.
Screwballcity.com follows the trials of "screwballs" who are left on Earth after a mass evacuation to Mars, including a naive pop star, an unqualified life coach, and a redneck survivalist. Site features include daily video blogs from each character, spotlight videos, and humorous photos.
Visitors to the site can create profiles to interact with cast members via messaging and community forums.
Cast members include Marian Bruno, Christine Tarbet, Jamison Scala, Jennifer Landa, Brian Hunt, Lani Shipman, Karyan Shackelford, Biff Ingenthrone, Matt Thoreson, and Adofo Ghani.
