PM Moon Publisher's Author to Donate to Cleveland Animal Protection League

Dr. Mosetta Penick Phillips-Cermak has informed PM Moon Publishers, LLC that she will donation one dollar ($1.00) on the sale of each copy of Rajah and the Big Blue Ball to the Cleveland Animal Protective League.

Press Release (PressBurner) Apr 30, 2009 - On May 1, 2009, PM Moon Publishers, LLC, PM Moon Publishers, LLC will release Dr. Mosetta M. Penick Phillips-Cermak’s next title, Rajah and the Big Blue Ball (ISBN13: 978-0-9817777-4-0), the first in a series of six (6) children’s books.  

This story, written for second grade, features a rescue dog, who in real life, Dr. Penick Phillips-Cermak adopted from the Cleveland APL.

" I actually wanted to be a vet when I was a kid," said Dr. Mosetta, "but in those days it was almost impossible for a women to get accepted.  Things have certainly changed.  I guess that my commitment to rescue dogs is part of my need to still help animals.   Chynna, one of the cats in the story was also rescued for the Cleveland APL."  

"Her books and novelty items are also available for placement in their gift shop," said Mara C. Forsythe, Managing Editor.  "In addition, Dr. Penick Phillips-Cermak has indicated availability for an autograph book signing at their facility to launch this process.  She has also offered to appear at any scheduled events  that the APL feels appropriate. "

"The only thing I love more than animal are children, " said Dr. Mosetta.  " By writing about animals in my children's books, I am combinding the best of both worlds."

Dr. Penick Phillips-Cermak is also the author of The Wishing Flower, first published in the May 2007 edition of The Writers Post Journal, and of the award nominated book, The Magic of Laven-Rock, published in 2008.
She is a retired counselor and a teacher of many years, who started writing short stories at the age of ten.
        She is currently a substitute teacher for the Cleveland Metropolitan School District.  She also teaches English as a Second Language  (ESL) for Cuyahoga Community College (Ohio).

Over the years, she has taught everything from kindergarten through teacher education programs, including college level psychology and sociology.
