Yani Tseng passes Lorena Ochoa and moves to 1st in the World Golf Index standings

Press Release (PressBurner) May 26, 2009 - Source: World Golf Index

Yani Tseng birdied the last 2 out of three holes on Sunday to win the final playing of the LPGA Corning Classic tournament. The LPGA Corning Classic is a casualty of the US and world economic woes, and will not be played in 2010.
Tseng out ran Paula Creamer’s late charge, who birdied 4 out the last 5 holes trying to catch her.
With this win, Yani Tseng passes Lorena Ochoa and moves into the number 1 spot in the World Golf Index standings, making her the highest performing professional golfer on the planet... in the last 52 weeks (1 year).
